How We Protect Buyers & Sellers

Trust is the foundation of any marketplace. Here's a detailed breakdown of every protection layer we've built into HobbyQuantHQ.

Payments: Stripe Connect

All payments flow through Stripe Connect. Buyers' card details never touch our servers. Seller payouts go directly to their bank account via Stripe — no pooled funds, no holding periods beyond the standard 2-day Stripe payout schedule.

Fraud detection

Every listing and every new user is scored by our AI fraud detection engine. Risk factors include price anomalies (listings priced far above or below market), account velocity, and behavioral patterns. High-risk listings are flagged for manual review before going live.

Disputes

Buyers can open a dispute within 30 days of delivery. Both parties submit evidence via the dispute portal. Our team reviews and mediates within 48 hours. Stripe's chargeback process is available as a last resort, but most disputes are resolved before that stage.

Shipping

Integrated EasyPost shipping label creation with tracked carriers. Sellers print labels from the order page; buyers receive tracking numbers automatically. We require tracked shipping for all orders over $20.
